Nuclear Meltdown

If you're a fan of dark and ruthless bass music, then this message is for you! Noisia's album Split The Atom is out with a fresh new special edition on Mau5trap. If you're unfamiliar with the trio, they're considered one of the hardest-hitting bass music groups out there despite being from the land of four-to-the-floor, the Netherlands. Their climb to fame began to really take off in the US upon the release of their LP back in 2010. It featured tracks like Alpha Centauri and had a very sci-fi oriented theme.

The special edition of Noisia's breakthrough album features many of their newest releases and remixes that have come out since the original release, including the aggressive drum'n'bass tune Could This Be, the brutal 16bit remix of Machine Gun, and of course their explosive hit Tommy's Theme which made our Top 15 Dubstep Tracks Of 2011. The track that really made me flip out is the savage remix of Diplodocus by Kill The Noise. Even Deadmau5 posted it to his Facebook wall with the question "Are you f**king kidding me right now? Wow." If you want to have nightmares, I dare you to listen to the terrifying Posij drumstep remix of My World, which has a dark and creepy voice sample sure to haunt your dreams. The special edition of Split The Atom has a few surprises on it too, like Munchi's dark and twisted moombahton remix of Tommy's Theme.

Whether you're fan or just want to bang your head on something, this 32-track compilation is powerful and also a great way to get all their best original work in one bundle. Download it here from Beatport.

[Remixes] Porter Robinson ft. Amba Shepherd – Vandalism (Lazy Rich Remix)

[Remixes] Porter Robinson ft. Amba Shepherd Vandalism (Lazy Rich Remix)

At only 19 years old, Porter Robinson has already achieved great things in his career. With a smash hit debut EP out on Beatport and a constantly growing following, the sky is the limit for this young artist. One of the best progressive tracks off his EP, “Vandalism ft. Amba Shepherd”, was completely reworked this week by Canadian producer Lazy Rich. His version starts off slow with the vocals at the forefront but quickly turns dark with a massive build and an afrobeat meets electro monster drop. Give a listen to this preview to hear this massive rave banger in action.

CONTROL 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY ft. FELGUK, TOMMY TRASH, TJR, BONES, DETH HERTZ

To celebrate their 3 year anniversary this Friday, CONTROL is teaming up with clubbin bible Mixmag to throw one of the best parties LA will see this year. SKetcho Productions – MGM-Jay [MGMT x Jay-Z Album]

There have seemingly been a fair share of mashup albums that enlist the services of the legendary Jay-Z, ranging from The Grey Album (Jay-Z vs Beatles) to The Pretty Album (Jay-Z vs Pretty Lights) to Brooklyn Soul (Jay-Z vs Marvin Gaye). Now SKetcho Productions throws tracks into this wonderful collection with MGM-Jay, an album that takes MGMT instrumentals and pairs them with solely Jay-Z vocals. One would think that there are only so many times using the same Jay-Z track samples would work, but I was pleasantly surprised with how MGMT worked with them. MGM-Jay continues to show the variety of ways that Jay Z can be implemented while at the same time highlighting the sounds that MGMT has become known for. Jay's flow doesn't suffer, and MGMT doesn't lose their uniqueness. SKetcho has successfully added another stupendous Jay-Z mashup to the wide and varied collection that has emerged.

Miike Snow – "Paddling Out" (Wolfgang Gartner Remix)

Not going to lie, I'm not loving "Paddling Out" as a single, especially since Miike Snow had released "Black Tin Box", their collaboration with Lykke Li, only a few days after and I personally feel it's much better. This Wolfgang Gartner remix has officially changed my stance. Like most of his remixes, he takes a rather formulaic Miike Snow track and turns it into a an all-out rave jam. No word yet on whether it will see an official release, seeing as Downtown Records have already released the single last January and a seriously weird video on February 3rd. Meanwhile, listen below and keep an eye out for an official download and get ready for the release of  their new album Happy To You on March 26th.

Borgore and Dev – Kiss My Lips (Original Mix) [DUBSTEP]

Thought I would make it up to you for finding out one of my tracks got made un-downloadable yesterday. So I went ahead and fixed that Felix Cartal track and now I present this to you to patch things up and make things better. I hope we can move on together now in our relationship. I'm moving back to dopeshare, please let me know if you ever have any problems, we need your feedback!

The Club – Week 23

Welcome to THE CLUB. A weekly dose of your favourite house, progressive house, electro house, and everything-in-between.. Each week I'll bring you a selection of my favourites of the week from the best producers in the world. I'll try to feature an emerging artist or two that catches my eye more than most, so make sure to keep your eye out for weekly servings of the biggest and best names in house music worldwide.

Last week's mix focused on progressive house melodies and beautiful vocals, and while I will always appreciate and LOVE the uplifting energy that comes with those big room bombs, sometimes you just need some serious heavy hitting, club shaking electro house. Enter, THE CLUB Best of Weeks 20-23, mixed by Midknight.

A few weeks back Nicky Romero and MYNC released a mix album featuring several unreleased tracks including Nicky's own "Se7en". This is quite possibly the best track so far on a long list of releases for the superstar DJ/producer, and unlike a certain Swedish DJ who releases a track every 3 or 4 months, Nicky Romero has been pumping out top notch progressive/electro house monsters week after week. Its rare that you will see a week of The Club here on Earmilk without a Nicky Romero original or remix, and all this despite touring constantly around the world playing sold out shows and festivals night in and night out.

I'd like to introduce you to a young producer who, at just 19, is already making waves on the progressive and electro house scene. Pierce Fulton just released his remix for Felix Cartal's latest gem, "Domo", and not long before that, his track "Who Wants Spaghetti" grabbed my attention, as I'm sure it will yours. He's certainly on the right path and with quality releases on the horizon I look forward to hearing whats on tap from this kid. Make sure to also check out the Dzeko & Torres bootleg remix for Of Monsters and Men's "King and Lionheart". We'll have a 30 minute mix and an interview from the duo next week, so make sure to check back for that. They've already been featured on Tiesto's Clublife and have been working hard in the studio lately on epic bangers such as "Whoop" which I featured here last week.

A few weeks back, one of our favourites here on The Club released possibly his heaviest track to date. Marco V's "Analogital" drops much bigger than his previous work, and just when you thought it couldn't get any heavier, Bassjackers and Hard Rock Sofa go and release remixes that take it up to the next level. I'm going to give Hard Rock Sofa the nod on this one as my favourite of the remixes, as it gives just a bit more depth to the original but maintains that distorted bass synth that Marco V used so perfectly on the drop. Also featured today is Marco's remix of Sharam Jey's "Living Like I'm Dying" which furthers my point about Marco going heavy. The once trance-like progressive house master has transformed his sound into a fusion of progressive melodies and electro basslines.

If you're a fan of Swedish House Mafia and if you were lucky enough to catch their set at Madison Square Garden  a few months ago, then you've probably heard of Nari & Milani. SHM dropped "Atom" in front of 20,000 people and since then, it has been THE song that we are waiting for. With memories of Sandro Silva & Quintino's "Epic" resonating throughout the track, Atom is certainly going to be one of the songs of the year... if its ever released that is (scheduled for March I hear). In the mean time we get to experience the incredible talent that is Nari & Milani. Their versatility has been the most impressive aspect of these guys, as they have managed to deliver tech house bombs in addition to the progressive bangers that you'll see here. This week Robbie Rivera steps in to lend his hand on Nari & Milani vs Maurizo Gubellini's "Slash", and then in return, Nari & Milani and Maurizo Gubellini take a run at Robbie's track, "Turn It Around".

Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman have been on my radar for a while now, but with their release of "Roll The Dice", they seem to have found their calling. Hailing from Stockholm, Vangelis & Wyman have turned from purely progressive house into a mix of electro house elements set within the uplifting atmosphere that only the Swedes can master. Their remix of Coldplay's "The Scientiest" breathes fresh life into one of the most memorable songs in the last decade, and all while keeping the relaxing vocals of Chris Martin in the forefront. If you don't like this one, there's something wrong with you.

If you love the music like I do, make sure you support the artists and purchase the music at a music outlet such as Beatport or similar!

MartyParty – Partytime Mixtape [Exclusive]

MartyParty returns to us here at Earmilk with an exclusive premiere of his newest mixtape titled Partytime, with all of what we have come to expect from the glitch-dub-bass master. If you're familiar with his former "purple-themed" work, this mixtape will be slightly familiar, but it's a departure from his usual style. This go round you'll hear reworks of A$AP Rocky, Gucci Mane, and Die Antwoord.
