I’m not going to lie, I could barely contain my excitement when I heard that Ideal Audio‘s latest podcast featured Electric Rescue.  You heard right, the French producer is back with an incredible mix that demonstrates his superior mixing ability but also his impeccable track selection.

Warning: this mix is not for the faint of heart, if you don’t like dark-driving grooves with evil digital undertones then I would steer clear.

My love affair with Rudi Zygadlo is showing no evidence of slowing. If anything, it grows slowly yet consistently from day to day, like a flower or small animal. I’ve just finished listening to this mix he did for Clash Mag, and not only does it push the button on what he has been doing with bass music, I think it is safe to say it pushes “post dubstep,” or whatever genre you try and put him in, to another level. 

Without a doubt one of the most original mixes I’ve heard all year. Laced with string orchestras, beatboxing, classic soul and RnB, opera, bass wobbles and a sprinkle of jazz funk, it is a musical meander that I am a little bit in awe of and at the same time so, sooo happy that someone is making music that is this original.

KIWAMU definitely switched up the pace on last month’s episode of Tokyo Bliss, taking us on a soaring adventure through some deep house beats. The next installment of Heartbeat comes from an Irishman who made a serious splash recently with his rework of Deadmau5′s Raise Your Weapon. It also happens to be the opening track on this mix. His sets vary from filthy tech house to pounding techno, but perhaps what distinguishes Dashka the most is his talent with the saxophone. His accomplished jazz training is put to good use through live improvisation, and it has garnered attention from some of the top names in the scene, landing him center-stage slots alongside Deadmau5, Marco V, Eddie Halliwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Sander van Doorn, and many others.

Taking a quick peek at the tracklist below, you’ll notice that this set is very nicely balanced between many different genres while carefully maintaining a high level of energy throughout. Transitions are smooth as butter, and together with the secret ingredients that are the tracks in the set, I think you’ll find this hour of music to be quite tasty.
