The Gorillaz, Andre 3000 of Outkast and James Murphy of LCD Soundsytem have teamed up to release, ‘DoYaThing’ a collaborative track to promote new Gorillaz-themed Converse shoe.

After much anticipating, a radio rip of the track has made it on the internetz. The official release will be tomorrow through Converse website. Enjoy

DJ/Producing veteran Tommie Sunshine has teamed up yet again with Disco Fries to bring us the massive collab track, ‘Don’t Look Back’. A disco house thrill ride that feels very nostalgic to a previous, much funkier era. “Don’t Look Back” is out today along with a huge collection of remixes by Rogerseventytwo, DSKOTEK, KitSch, Polymath and even a dub version from Tommie and Disco Fries.

The remixes are incredibly wide in range, you have DSKOTEK going completely filthy into the electro world, Polymath’s experimental nature coming through into a minimalistic rendition of ‘Don’t Look Back’, a big room feel with KitSch and our favorite, the progressive track Rogerseventytwo.

There is nothing like the feeling of a song catching you off guard. Music bloggers are hipsters, whether they want to admit it or not, and discovering something before anyone else often creates a lasting high (at least for me). Throughout all the chaos and over layered tracks I had to listen to today, comes out a gorgeous song by a band called Panama. ‘Blossom’ is a soft stripped down remix of Bon Iver’s ‘Re: Stacks’ off his debut album, For Emma, Forever Ago. It is delicate, simple and completely relaxing just like the original but without the acoustic instrumentation. Panama just released a Bon Iver remix EP conveniently titled ‘Good Winter‘ (which for those who don’t know is the french translation for Bon Iver’s name (bon hiver). Completely missed these gems, and even not sure how. Nonetheless is better late than never. Collin McLoughlin is a New York based singer/songwriter that shocked the music world covering one of the most popular EDM songs of 2011. First it was David Guetta’s Titanium and soon to follow was “Save The World” by Swedish House Mafia. McLoughlin has aslo released an astonishing original titled “Chasing Dreams” that quite simply deserves to be on the soundtrack of a TV Show. While all these songs may have been released decades ago (in blogging years) more people just have to hear his unique voice. He turned a mediocre house song from David Guetta into a wonderful masterpiece (Although props to Sia for her vocas, I just did not feel the production in Titanium). Hope you have a relaxing Sunday.

This almost feels like a throwback as ‘What You Know’ was first released in 2010 on Two Door Cinema Club’s debut studio album, Tourist History. Yet producer, Allen Walker, based out of Cairo, Egypt has able to lightly edit the original track and uplift it into a fun digestible track layered with modern and playful melodies. If you are waking up with a hangover this Sunday morning, I am confident this will make your day just a little brighter. Enjoy!

Summer Camp are an indie pop duo formed by multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Warmsley and vocalist Elizabeth Sankey. Signed under Moshi Moshi Label, they released their debut EP ‘Young EP’ in 2010, and first full length album ‘Welcome to Condale’ in 2011. ‘Losing My Mind’ comes from their debut album containing hopeless lyrics dealing with a loss of a relationship. The new revamped remix by Saint Etienne is much darker than the original with hazy instrumentation that wonderfully contrast with Elizabeth light vocals.

This is one of three extra versions of the song that will appear on the single package when it’s out in March.

Game Studios like EA, events like the Grammy’s, Movie Studios like Disney all have one thing in common: incorporating EDM into their their world. It almost feels silly to point this out but EDM has expanded exponentially making wave for new sounds and new experiences. EA commissioned Skrillex and Flux Pavilion for a remix of the Syndicate theme song and now, UK producer Nero has released his own much mellow version. Progressive in nature, the track feels very industrial with an 80′s flair to it. You can download it for free off the Syndicate facebook page.
