Onur Ozman‘s EP, Tyrannic has had my head bobbing ever since it was released in early February and with just one listen it’s easy to see why.  Tyrannic‘s sounds are the results of both veteran production techniques and pure talent.  Onur Ozman has really given us something special here: the deep and diverse EP delivers a euphoric sound that leaves its listeners nothing short of impressed.

WATCH OUT:  LeSale is comin’ in hot with his brand new track “Make Me Feel So Good”.  The Firefly sampled tune is fresh off an appearance on The Magician’s Magic Tape Twenty and is a worthy throwback to New York’s deep, dark and dirty underground disco days.

“Make Me Feel So Good” is a slow groover with hints of piano and vocal loops in all the right places.  The track is out now on Luv Shack Records, a new label out of Vienna featuring some MAJOR up and coming local talent.  Keep an eye out for LeSale.  Keep an eye out for Luv Shack Records.  And keep an eye out for a musical uprising in Vienna.  You have been warned.

The Gorillaz, Andre 3000 of Outkast and James Murphy of LCD Soundsytem have teamed up to release, ‘DoYaThing’ a collaborative track to promote new Gorillaz-themed Converse shoe.

After much anticipating, a radio rip of the track has made it on the internetz. The official release will be tomorrow through Converse website. Enjoy

DJ/Producing veteran Tommie Sunshine has teamed up yet again with Disco Fries to bring us the massive collab track, ‘Don’t Look Back’. A disco house thrill ride that feels very nostalgic to a previous, much funkier era. “Don’t Look Back” is out today along with a huge collection of remixes by Rogerseventytwo, DSKOTEK, KitSch, Polymath and even a dub version from Tommie and Disco Fries.

The remixes are incredibly wide in range, you have DSKOTEK going completely filthy into the electro world, Polymath’s experimental nature coming through into a minimalistic rendition of ‘Don’t Look Back’, a big room feel with KitSch and our favorite, the progressive track Rogerseventytwo.

Wobble Wednesday is here again! Welcome back! If you're not already familiar with Wobble Wednesday, that's okay - we want to make your first time amazing. Most of what you'll be listening to here is often referred to as dubstep, but can encompass all genres of heavy bass music. To quote bass music artist ill.Gates, "When you look at what some of the bigger dubstep guys are doing now, they'll play some dubstep, they'll play some drumstep, they'll plays some breaks, some drum and bass, and maybe some dance hall."

That's what Wobble Wednesday is all about. Sometimes it will sound like chainsaws raining down, other times it's going to bring back the reggae and dub roots from which dubstep rose. It could also be the hectic and upbeat sounds of drumstep. When you press play, we're going to inundate your eardrums with the wobble, punch and drop of thunderous bass. We recommend you play this music at a high volume. Playing bass music at low volume might as well be one of the seven deadly sins. Enjoy the music. We'll see you next Wednesday!

Last week I was requested to write more about these tunes, so I'll give you my 2 cents. First and for most I'd like to welcome back the Skream Jam of the Week (I don't want to give out Skream's Discography on the site). Oliver does an awesome remix of Rusko's Somebody to Love that has Moombahton percussion with tons alarms, growls and lazers. This will be a festival anthem for a few months to come. You can catch in in LA as he performs with Benga and Artwork as Magnetic Man at Beyond Wonderland.Vodex showcases his dark sounds in his new EP titled Generation Monsters. I must say this is what got me into Dubstep at the start. The dark feeling of walking down some seedy alley-way at 3 at night.  Mostly all free downloads this week, what a week! Stay sparse my friends.

France’s The Qiwu Selftet first surfaced on the Melancholic Jazz Sunset Compilation in 2010 with their uplifting track titled “Kora”. The song got such a positive reception that Qiwu took to writing a full length.  The debut release is characterized by a mixture of jazz melodies, organic tones, vocal sample, and electronic beats. It’s a really unique blend that, even though the MJS Compilation put them on the map, has kept them relevant.
